QSM is experiencing rapid growth and we are looking for an experienced inside sales engineer. The sales engineer is a member of the inside sales team and is responsible for sales & marketing related activities including: inside sales, technical support, CAD drawings, preparing and delivering technical presentations and assisting in R & D of new & improved products.

The skill sets required for a successful candidate in this position are as follows:
• Goal oriented, success driven professional
• Excellent telephone sales personality & proven superior customer service skills
• Proficient with SOLIDWORKS CAD and Microsoft Office
• Strong planning, organizational, time management and technical skills.
• Proactive team player, ability to work with others in a fast-paced team environment
• Strong mechanical and technical aptitude

Education and experience required:
• Bachelors Degree in Engineering is preferred
• 5 years of successful technical sales experience, preferably with valves or related products

Responsibilities to include:
• Outbound and inbound account management
• Providing technical product and service support to customers
• Basic CAD drawings
• Determining product improvements by analyzing cost-benefit ratios
• Emphasizing service and product features and benefits, quoting prices, and providing technical support for products
• Increasing sales and average order size by means of up-selling and add-on sales
• Identifying product and service issues that must be addressed
• Maintaining technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications
• Infrequent travel may be required

The inside sales person is a member of the inside sales team and is responsible for sales & marketing related activities including: incoming and outgoing sales calls, quotes, order processing, and customer service.

• Excellent telephone sales personality & proven superior customer service skills
• PC literate, familiar with Microsoft office, and other planning tools
• Strong planning, organizational, time management, interpersonal & communication skills
• Proactive team player, ability to work with others in a fast-paced team environment
• Basic accounting skills

Education and experience required:
• Bachelors Degree in Business / Marketing / Accounting preferred
• 5 years of successful industrial sales experience, preferably with valves or related products
• Familiar with basic accounting principles

Responsibilities include:
• Outbound and inbound account management
• Coordinating with sales manager to determine strategic approaches to new sales
• Handling cancellations or changes to sales orders and communicating changes to the related departments
• Emphasizing product features and benefits, quoting prices, and providing technical support for products
• Increasing sales and average order size by means of up-selling and add-on sales
• Ensuring delivery schedule meets the needs of customers and goals of the company
• Infrequent travel may be required
